    drink a cupful of buttermilk and soda.
    The way to cure "mumps" was to go to a "burn" between two landlords, and to put a donkey's halter on the person that had the "mumps" and put your mouth in the water and drink three mouthfuls.
    Another way to cure "warts" was to get the stomach of a hen and rub it on the "warts", and when you were finished rubbing you would put the hen's stomach under a stone.
    The way to cure "Rose" was to get moss water and drink it before sunrise in the morning.
    The way to cure a "headache" was to drink a cup of strong tea without milk and without sugar.
    The way to cure sore feet was to get a dish of luke-warm water and put salt in it and wash your feet in it.
