  1. There is a poet in Drumcrow Raphoe. He is still living. He is a farm labourer. His name is George Houston. During his work he makes the poems by coming to him suddenly and he writes them at night when he is sitting at the fire-side. His poems are recited in the neighbourhood. He made a poem about "Brennan's Two Cows" The Blackbird, The Wearing of the Green, The Wages Boardman, Vance's Lorry, Craig's Reaper. His poems are principally about people, things and events that happen in the neighbourhood. He is only about thirty years of age.

    He was born in Ballylennon. He died about six years ago at the age of fifty-seven. He made his poetry on the banks of a river on summer days He owned a farm and worked on the farm. The people had
