  1. One day I heard my mother saying that there was a Leprechaun who used to live in a townland called the Cloon a few miles out of Carrigans.
    He was a very thin little man and he was very pale-faced. He always wore a red jacket and a blue pair of trousers.
    Every day he sat outside the door of his house making boots and repairing boots.
    This man had three crocks of gold hid near his house and he had another one in his house. One day a man came with a spade to this little man's house and the Leprechaun said to him "where are you going" and the man said "I am going to the place where the gold is hidden". Then the Leprechaun put a spell on him and he was not able to go
