   Bird Lore
   These are the birds that are commonly found in this district: -
   The crow, pigeon, thrush, butcher-thrush, blackbird, robin, wren, sparrow, ledge-sparrow, lark, hawk, curlew, crane, snipe, swan, jackdaw, magpie, goldfinch, yellow hammer, willie-way-tail, cuckoo and the swallow the corncrake. The cuckoo and the swallow migrate.
   The blackbird and thrush build in bushes.

   The swan has her nest under the bank of a lake.
   The water-hen builds by the water's brink.
   The jackdaw usually builds in the chimney.
