   Bridgend. When the sea was shut out a lot of the dry land was left that was not there before, Messrs Wagstaff and Brassy got it.
   The Dispensary road goes past the Chapel and it crosses the Old road. It runs on and joins the Crislaghkeel road.
   The Gort road goes past out school. It is joined by the Craigtown and Letter roads at the head of Mill - Brook bray. The Letter road runs through Letter and joins the Dispensary road.
   The Bosom road branches off the main road at Fahan Church. It goes up through the Bosom to Carrick. Other smaller roads branch off it. At Ridgeway the Brat Road branches off. It goes along the foot of the Gollan and then below the Moulday Hill and joins the Bosom road at Carrick.
   The Rooskey road commonly called Gilligan's road, runs from the Bosom road to the Bray Road. The main road used not to run where it is now. It used to go up by the Rectory and past the front of Scott's house and on through Ballyhayes where it joined the old road. The new road was made during the famine to give relief work to the people. There were no roads in the Bosom then. There was a kind of pad going across the Bosom. It was called Corby's
