- In olden times people used to eat two meals each day. These were their breakfast and supper. They took sweet milk and oat bread for their breakfast, and porridge or potatoes for their supper. They ate their breakfast about ten o'clock in the morning, and their supper at about five o'clock in the evening. The men used to go out and work for about two hours before they ate their breakfast. Most of the people had no tables. Some of them used stools instead and most of them sat on the floors. The people did not eat meat often. They ate fish. The oat bread is gone out(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
