    Rev. John Mac Laughlin was also born in Glentogher. He was skilled in the Irirsh language. He is supposed to have written books. He died in October eighteen hundred and thirteen.
    Father Kearney was born among the grey mountains of Donegal. His early years were spent under the shadow of Slieve Sneacht. He became a Holy Father and afterwards became ill. He returned to Glentogher to see if he would improve but he was too late.
    Carrowmore means the big quarterland. It stretches from below the Post Office to O'Donnell's bridge about three quarters of a mile on the other side of the Plantation. It consists of Kelly's Town and Carrowmore. It is about two miles and a half long.
    There are about eight ruins in my townland altogether. Some of the people died but most of them emigrated to America.
    Doherty and Kearney are the most common names in the townland.
    Cruinnleigh is the only mountain in Carrowmore.
    Granny's lake is a small lake lying behind the hills, and it is covered with lillies in the Summer.
    The only old people in our townland are Brigid Doherty aged ninety years who talks only
