The following are the list of our farm animals.

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
and others are tied around the neck.
We have four pigs and we kill them when they are about one and a half hundreds each.
People say we are going to have rain when they hear the hens crying.
They also say we are going to have rain when the ducks quack aloud.
When we are calling the hens we say tuck tuck. When we are calling the ducks and geese we shout wheat wheat. Ducks and hens know when they are being called better than any other animal.
When we are setting a hen we usually put fifteen eggs under her. When a person goes for a setting of eggs he usually gets one into it for good luck.
If it is a child that gets the extra egg to itself it usually writes its name on it. No hen is any good for hatching eggs except she sits contently. In other words she is of no use except she is clocking. It takes two weeks to hatch hen eggs and it takes a month to hatch turkey eggs or goose eggs
