   Before "Partition" Derry City was the "Big Town" of Innishowen and of a great part of Tirconnell, and there was constant intercourse between these places particularly in matters of trade and commerce.
   All places of emolument and control were as now in the hands of a Protestant Ascendancy who deprived and are still depriving Catholics of social Justice, so that on all sides very bitter sectarian hate is always in evidence on "Party Days".
   On 12th August and again on the 18th Dec. the anniversaries of events in connection with Protestant history are celebrated by those concerned, the dawn of these days is usually ushered in by the booming of cannon and by beating of the big drum, but these celebrations are in the interests of peace, strictly confined to the anti-
