   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)

   Each heart was glad, not one seemed sad
   As our vessel cut the foam
   To embrace our friends and parents dear,
   Round Erin's lovely home.

   II
   Ten days, ten nights we ploughed the seas,
   No danger did we fear
   Unto our native Irish coast on sight we did appear.
   Down below each one did go to wait for morning clear,
   When a dreadful shock against a rock,
   Filled all hearts with fear.

   III
   And fore and aft our seamen rushed
   And fiercely rolled the tide,
   Then instantly four boats were launched
   But oh! They were capsized.
   The passengers all rushed on deck
   while the stormy seas did roar
