An Old Story
“Long ago there was a story told of how a very wonderful thing happened outside the town of Rush.”
Long ago there was a story told of how a very wonderful thing happened outside the town of Rush. The story runs as follows: -near Baldungan Castle there is a graveyard where St. Mavee and S. Mavo were buried. As it happened one day a man was ploughing up the field where the graveyard was a voice was heard saying "stop that ploughing". The ploughman replied "St. Mavee, St. Mavo I'll plough this furrow before I go", and behold the ground opened up and the man and plough were swallowed up by the earth.A man who lives next door to me told me this story(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
