    used to rob the rich that travelled by mail coach. He would never keep it for himself but distributed it to the poor where he was always very welcome.
    St. Macculind the patron saint of Lusk jumped from the top of the Round Tower to Lusk Barracks. Then he tried to jump back again but his head struck the Tower half way up and left the imprint of his face on it which can be seen to-day. At the back of the Barracks where St. Macculind jumped to there is a holy well.
    Thomas Ashe was a famous hero. He was a teacher and he taught in Corduff school. He gave his life for Ireland in 1916.
