   As they roll and dispose and then racing to land
   In the midst of their mirth they collapse on the sand

   Now mark how the river meanders along
   While the trees bend to kiss it so sad is its song
   Hear the notes from the Grove where the plumed minstrel ?
   Attune the sweet chords of their magical lyre
   And the village how queen-like reposes in pride
   On bowers of the woodbine and smiles on the ?
   While Islay and Jura by sea breezes fanned
   From Alba look o'er on so lovely a land.

   Sweet spot by the seaside in youth's sunny ?
   I filled the bright vase with Hope's loveliest flower
   And visions all blissful from Fancy's bright shine
   Shed sunshine around the Elysium of mine
   But vain were the visions the sunshine has fled
   The vase it is broken the flowers are dead
