    Father Pat (Canon Pat) Heaney gave the Stations of the Cross, Meetings used to be held near the Chapel Gate - in the Parish Priests lawn and in the school.
    The graveyard was enlarged time of Canon Heaney who also got the big gate put it. The small gate is not used now. On the western end of graveyard all the old graves and tombs. There is a large tomb in this side where O'Flaherty is buried. It seems there was no wall - or if one a bad one enclosing the graveyard for Fr Molloy got it enclosed by present wall and there is a memorial commem. that a stone cross (sketch). It is not known how long the graveyard is in use but Mass was said there in 1777 A.D. In the graveyard stand the ruins of an old church - 3 walls standing N.S.W. The walls are very curiously built and seem to be done at different periods. In the northern wall the stones are small and closely set; in the southern wall they are big. The length is 21 steps breadth 18'
    Walls are nearly 3' thick. There is a large stone probably the one in western gable which was brought from Seefin (near Hollymount) - time unknown. The building was probably repaired or added to at
