There are three old ruins of houses in it. Some of those people who lived in them emigrated to America, and the rest of them died. There is a ruin of an castle - Cahercinmonwee. There is a wood called "Gort na Gaman" near the place which occupies about five acres of ground. There is a river which is called the Dunkellin river flowing at the South side of the district. There is no local account of when this river was made.
