- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)to the crossroads of Cloonbrisk.Bóthar an Cóiste Badhar", because long ago it is said that Cóiste Badhar passed there. There are some important places on that road such as "Staighre" the name of a path. There is a hill at one end of it and that is why it is called "Staighre". Another important place is "Poll a Coirneil" the corner hole. This hole is in Johney Lally's land. "An Leac Bhán" meaning white flag this is between Higgins and Lally's. There is a sappers mark on that stone. "Bóthar Paill an Abhastair". There is a big hill in that road and at the bottom of this hill there is a big hole. That hole is called Poll an Adhastair and then the road got its name from the hole. "An t-Sean Bóthar" meaning the old road. There is a big fort beside this road where little children are buried."Cronán na Foula" at the bottom of the hills of Gortnalea.
