    until they saw a dead man on the side of the road. A guard came up to them, and he asked them who killed the man.
    "We three," said the oldest of the three young men. The guard asked them why did they kill him, and the second man said, "for want of money."
    The guard said that they would all be hanged, and they the youngest man said, "all right." They were arrested them, and they were hanged.
    They paid dearly for their love of the English language and in my opinion the day is not far distant in Ireland, when drastic steps including hanging and torturing will be needed to revive our grand old Irish tongue.
