   I've travelled most of Erin's Isle
   And seen its beauty rare.
   And I've admired its stalwart alds
   And colleens too so fair.
   I've seen Killarney's lovely lakes.
   Oh what can they surpass.
   But Queen of all I own I call,
   My native Ballyglass.
   II
   The village lies beneath the rise,
   Where verdant meadows grow.
   From the shady groves of Cranna to,
   The vale of Loughenroe.
   When a gentle breeze disturbs its trees
   The carpet of green grass.
   The scene is rare and very fair.
   In my native Ballyglass.
   III
   Our best young men oh what a sin.
   Seek homes across the sea.
   But Erin's hills, her rippling rills,
   And clear fresh air for me.
   And hard I'll try to live and die.
   In the land that loves the Mass.
   Where the faith shines bright as the stars at night.
