    in the townland of Castlenancy belonging to Mr Hanrahan.
    Spinning: Everybody in this parish did their own spinning long ago. They kept the wool of the sheep and washed it. They had two pieces of boards called cards and with these they used card and the wool and make it into rolls and they used spin it and make it into balls and they used knit their own stockings and everything they wanted.
    Leather Tanning: Leather tanning was done in this district long ago by Mr Burkes. He kept the skin of the cows and he made all the people wanted from those skins
    Soap Making: There was no soap manufactured in this district long ago. The people brought the clothes to a river and they used wash them with a beetle.
    Fire cranes: There were fire cranes made in this parish in the townsland of Ballyfinton by Thomas Hanrahan
    Thatching: There was thatching done in this parish
