Templetogher, Kildaree and Moore are the graveyards in this parish the old name of which is Templetogher but which is now called Williamstown. Buoyenagh which is on the school border but is in Glenamaddy parish. Templetogher an old graveyard from which the parish takes its name is in the east of the parish. There was a church there long ago. There was a raised pathway leading from it to an old castle situated in lastletogher about a quarter of a mile away. The ruins of castle are still standing but there is no trace of the church. When Saint Patrick was on his way to broagh Patrick he visited Templetogher. He made the first converts of the parish at that spot. There is a well beside the graveyard in the water of which he baptised the people. It is said he struck his crozier on the ground and water sprang up and that was the origin of this holy well. Nuala na Mideog was the occupant of the castle.
