    Templetogher:
    Templetogher is the old name os this parish which is now called Williamstown. The name Templetogher means the church of the raised pathway. In older times there was a church there with a raised pathway going from it to an old castle which was situated in a downland called Sastletogher about a quarter of a mile away. There is no trace of the church but some of the ruins of the castle are still to be seen.
    Kildaree:
    Kildaree is the name of the local graveyard. It gets its name from two kinds who fought there. Both were killed and were buried in the same grace. There is a larger stone there which beats the works of spear thrusts.
    Polredmond:
    Polredmond got its name from a family of Redmonds who lived therein by-gone days. All the land of this district was in their possession at that time. It is the name of the district in which
