From the Epiphany till Shrove Tuesday is called the "seraft" and it is also called "the time of the lies" because during that time there are a lot of false rumours about people getting married. During Shrove all the matchmaking is done and on Shrove Tuesday the people throw salt at the unmarried boys and girls. Shrove Tuesday night is called "pancake night" because on that night a lot of pancakes made. Lucky days and months.
