- Travelling folk visit our house often.
They make tin cans, basins and porringers which they sell.
Some of them are very poor, but anytime they get money they drink it.
They travel about in wagons.
At night they put tents on the roadside and sleep in them. They only stay for a night in the one place.
Anytime the women go begging they ask for a wee grain of tea, a cup of milk for the baby or a few stout bottles to sell in the public house.
