- In North Leitrim near the Cavan border is the New Bridge district This is on the Southern slope of the Lacagh hills. In what is now known as the townland of Coraweechalac is a place called locally Angalisheen. It was the Burial Place of unbaptised infants.
About 90 years ago in this place lived a man and his wife and daughter. They were very poor. The little girl sometimes worked for the neighbour. One day when she was about fourteen years of age, Nanny, for their was her name, went to a neighbour ´s house named Johnny Martins to take some of the children. On her way home that evening she fell sick. When she came in she was put to bed. Here she remained for days without getting better.
