- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)depth about one and a half inches, cut into round pieces about three inches in diameter and made into little buns. These buns are called "pups."
Then these buns are put into the pot of boiling water and allowed to boil slowly for about one hour. They must be constantly and gently stirred to prevent their sticking.
They are wiped in a clean cloth when cooked. These buns can be eaten hot or they can be let cool and then cut in thin slices and fried in dripping or butter on a pan. The water in which they were boiled contains much starch.- Faisnéiseoir
