    They'll seat you near the fire and of yoi they'll make their own
    He's hard to please and cool at heart that won't feel quite at home
    You'll ne'er forget a term spent among those heathery hills
    Where healthy sport and dances old shall banish all your ills
    They suffer bravely in their hearts and never wear a frown
    Those are the kind of folk you'll meet on the hills above the town
    III
    In far off California our loved ones will be found
    But they left their hearts in Erin on the hills above the town
    We'll keep and guard them tenderly, until they do return
    And they'll find a welcome as of yore where the cheery peat fires burn
    Both night and morn our prayer will be, Return when God wills, but may
