    shaken and all the hay of the bed is thrown back and the manure that remains is thrown out and the hay is left there as a bed for the night. A horse is not tied round the neck to a stake like a cow. He is tied round the neck by a rope attached to the chain and this chain goes down into a ring in the rack with a weight on the end of it, and this allows the chain to pull up and down as is needed. He must get shod at least once a month or if not his hoods will get sore. If he has a sore breast the cure for it is, to boil the bark of an oak tree in water and wash him with it. A horse is a sure sign of rain or bad weather. If you see a horse come near the house, and standing up against the hedge it is a sign of bad weather.
