   My mother cuts the potatoes for seed. She makes two or three parts of the large potatoes making sure that each of those parts has an eye or two and each of these are called slits. My sister sets the potatoes with a skeeveen. She makes a hole in the ridge and she puts one slit in each hold. About two weeks after the potatoes are set my father digs the mould in the furrows and puts it up on the ridges.
   When the stalks are about two feet high they are sprayed to protect them from the blight. The night before the sparying is done the blue stone is put into a barrell with watter and limb to melt. Then it is put into a spraying machine and sprinkled on the stalks. After three weeks they are sprayed again
   In autumn the potatoes are dug and put in to heaps
