- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)that his brother was dead. He began to get ready to go to the funeral. His wife told him she would dress him in a black suit. She then got a lot more polish and pretended she was brushing his new suit while she was polishing him. After she had him well polished she told him to go to the funeral. When the neighbours saw the blackman they were very frightened. The men who were (carren) carrying the coffin dropped it and ran. Everybody ran away from the black man. (In) In dropping the coffin the lid fell off and Jim jumped out of it. Jack asked him what he was doing there and Jim said he was dead and could get nobody to bury him. Jack told him to get out of the coffin that he was not dead atall. Jack and Jim then walked through the town and everybody ran from them. Even their own wives would not let them in. After a while their own wifes let them in and they washed themselves when they found out what happened they were very vexed.
