They would leave a hole in the wall for a window but the well to do people would have a pane of glass and a frame, and that left in in the hole. The stick chimney they had that was four long sticks from a beam up like a ladder with rungs across on them.
- (I think it is puddings) roll a gole of straw in doab. Use them soft. As quick as they were made they were carried to the man on top and he would weave them from one rung to another. They would start at bottom and keep working upwards. They would hang them(continues on next page)
