Lisheens and Forts.There is a lisheen in Patrick Kenny's farm and there is another in Patsey Kinahan's land and another in Tom Comer's land also.There are no names on any of the lisheen's around this part of the country. There is no hole going into any of them or there was never a white woman seen standing near any of them. There was a big black cat seen standing near the lisheen in Tom Comers farm but after a while he disappeared and the people say it was a fairy cat.People never rooted up any of them as they would be afraid of the fairies.No one ever heard of any music being heard near a lisheen at night. There is a big hedge of bushes around them. My people could not tell me any stories about lisheens.Got from Thomas Dillon, Glenamaddy.
