When this flax grew and ripened they cut it. After cutting it they used to bring it to the bog and steep it. When it pods it commenced to swell. Then they would bring it home and spread it on the grass to dry. When dry they used to beetle it. Then they used to gather a lot of women skutchers to skutch it. Then they used to make hanks out of it. Then they used to bring these hanks to the weaver to be manafactured. The weaver used to make sheets and ticks and mens and womens underwear. When people got these things weaved they brought them home and bleached them.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
