- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and goat's marbles. It becomes an ointment and is applied to the effected part.There are two other herbs namely the nettles and fuaróns. Nettles are used for turkeys. The nettles are cut finely and boiled, meal is also added. Fuaróns are used for pigs. They are prepared in a similar way to the nettles. This tale was told to me by Bernard Toole, Corrick, Dromod, Co Leitrim
- The names of the local poets in my district are W Scollan, Pat Cullen, and John McDonald.William Scollan lives in the townland of Ardloker, Drumsna, Co Leitrim.
