People used to rise in the morning at six o'clock and used to work until eight o'clock before they got a meal. Their first meal consisted of stirabout, their second potatoes and salt and milk and third potatoes again 4th stirabout. Potatoes were only eaten at two meals in the day. Milk was drank at every meal. The table was never hung on the wall. The kind of bread was eaten was home-made bread. Meat was not eaten so much as it is now.
