1. Marrying the Nine Daughters.
This game relates the efforts of a man to dispose of his nine daughters. In the course of the game two men with straps or bells are placed near the door. The nine suitors who leave in procession are beaten with the straps. As the first suitor reaches the door lintel he places a hand on each jamb of the door. and so holds up the exit thus exposing the last pair to a merciless beating. Needless to say this game was very detrimental to the walls of a mud cabin and often times door and door frame were hurled outwards or carried on the shoulders of the players.
2. Another game was played by the boys sitting round in a circle on the floor. One was appointed leader and each in the ring had to follow his example at the risk of a fine or heavy slapping.
