- Long ago in Ireland there lived very rich people. When they died, their jewels and gold were buried with them. One night a man was passing a graveyard and it began to rain. He went into a hut where he got shelter from the rain. He did not notice that there were other people in the hut besides himself. They asked him to come with them and if he did not they would kill him. The poor man was very frightened as he followed them. At last they came to a tomb and they bade him go in and take away all the gold and jewels from(continues on next page)
