The teacher was teaching indoors in the school. Martin Dempsy was the teacher in the school. It is said that Martin Dempsy lived in this district. School was carried on in the houses long ago. Martin Dempsy lodged in James Mularkey's house for a few months, then he left it and went around to the neighbouring houses for lodgings. The children that were going to school to Martin Dempsy had to pay him
