“The names of the games I played on Christmas day were...”
(ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)see anybody. He then walks around the room and tries to catch somebody. If he happens to catch anyone, he calls out his name. If he calls the right name the person he caught puts on the handkerchief and continues to do the same.
Corners is an outdoor game and only five can play it. Four stones are placed in the shape of a square and one is left in the middle. The person that is in the middle is called the fool.
The four outside boys move from stone to stone and the fool inside tries to secure one of the outer stones. If he does so the person without a stone goes in the middle and the game continues.
