The domestic animals are the dog and the cat. The dog helps the farmer to care the sheep and helps gather them in the fields. He lives in a small house at the bottom of the garden.
The cat stays in the house with the dog by night but he stays in the kitchen by day. He kills mice and rats round the haggard.
