- Our of the slope of the Ox Mountains there is a great rock. It is said that a giant threw it from Knock na Sidhe with one hand. It is round and there is no other rock like it near the place. There are five holes in it and these are taken to be the tracks of the giant's fingers and so it is called "Méaróg"

- Fifty or sixty years ago there used to be a lot of grazing cattle on the Ox Mountains. The owners of them used to gather them at this rock which is now called "Carraig a' Fuill" and get them bled. It is said that the cattle used to thrive better after being bled.
