    went to bed early. There were packs of wolves in Eire at this time. The wolves attacked the house and bored holes through the thatch. Among these wolves was one old grey one that forced his way in by boring a hole through the thatch. He attacked Éamonn and killed him. This wolf was very wise. He was afraid he would be killed by some other man, so he carried the bones of Éamonn in his mouth down to the lake shore and threw them out. Éamonn was missed by the people. They searched everywhere but could not find him till afterwards his body was seen floating on the surface of the water. They recognized him, took him in and burried him. So from that onwards, it is called Loch Eamuinn or Edward's Lake.
