- Travelling folk come to our district often. They are poor people. They sell sell tie pins and collar pins and other things. Most of them sell tins. They make these articles themselves.When they come to our doors they are always welcome. They sleep in barens and some people let them sleep in the kitchen. Most of them camp on the roadsides those of them who have horses and carriages they are only alowed to stay one night in each place.We give them alms and the collect food from house to house.They travel with carts and each family goes on its own. These are some of their names. Muloneys, McDonaghs, Cawleys, Summer's, Wiers, Kielys and Queens.Long ago they used to come to houses and tell stories(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
