- (continued from previous page)sometimes six wires in every snare and twisted them together When it was well twisted they took out the sticks and there were two loops, one at each end of the snare. They put one of the loops in through the other making a round shape of the snare. They continued in this manner until all the wire was made into snares. Then they got the rope and put the end onf it in through the loop of snare and put a knot on it in order that it would not slip out again. The cute the rope leaving about six inces with the snare. They put rope on all the snares this way. When they had the snares made and roped they went to a tree and cut pegs about six inches long having a head on one end of it in order that the rope would not slip over it.
