    The Leipreacán
It is said that the leipreacán is a small being about as high as a wall – flower. People say he sits under a mushroom making and mending silver shoes for the fairy’s. He wears a red coat and black shoes.
It is said he is seen by night in the forts but is not seen in day. A person who once heard of the leapreacán been seen in the fort knew where there was one went out one might at the time which he thought the leipreacán would be out at.
When he reached the fort he saw the leipreacán and caught him and asked him where was their gold.
The leipreacán wanting to get away told him to look at the light on the hill and when he looked he saw nothing but the leapreacan got away from the man. the man went home dissatisfied and never went to meet a leapreacán after.
