    "The Bush Field." That field is so called because there is a huge hawthorne bush growing in the middle of it. That bush is said to be nearly two hundred years years old. It is growing in a very, very deep pit and its top can just be seen above the mouth of the pit. There is a path leading from the field into the pit but nobody ever walks on it or goes into the pit because it is said that fairies dwell there yet. There is always a white cat seen near it.
    Upper and lower Corrigeen are two fields near the bog but they are very rocky, and the people call the rocks "Corrigeens". They are divided by a wood which goes from the main road into the Bog. "Darby's acre" is a small field that lies between
