- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)and the groom would then leave for a holiday and that holiday was called a "honey moon." Very few went, only those who had plenty of money to spend. They would stay away for a few weeks and then they would come home.
When they would arrive at the home all the neighbours would crowd in and wish the married pair many happy days of wedded bliss.
There was also another great feast and the bringing home of the bride. This was called the "Hauling home." All the neighbours would be present at the feast and they used to have great fun singing and dancing and playing music. The feast lasted for a few hours and then all the people went home.
