Aodh Caomh appointed King - Brendan and Mac Lenin as guarantors that the rival at his death, or his son should get the throne. Brendan saw a watch of angels over North Tipperary -- he sent Mac Lenin to see what happened there. They found the shrine of St. Ailbe, and the thieves who stole it dead. Mac Lenin brought it back, and Brendan told him his hands should henceforth be used in the Sacred Ministry of God. He died in 24th Nov 600 -- His festival day in Cloyne.
