    hastened to the well and decided she would wash the clothes in the cool water of the holy well. Having succeeded she ran home delighted with the deed she had done.
    Next morning she again returned to the well to continue her work but the well was not there. It was gone - it had disappeared. She hurriedly ran home frightened and disappointed and she died shortly afterwards with a disease. The well had changed from Polan's field to Buckley's field where it is still to be seen.
