For to reduce a bump on the forehead they used to press a penny (copper) against the bump for about a quarter of an hour. - The bog-bean is very valuable for curing rheumatism and skin diseases.Clover-tops were used for curing coughs and colds.
Slices of fat bacon were used for lumps in the throat.
