  1. Not far from my house is a hill called Currow Hill which I love to climb and of which I have heard the following story told many a time.
People believe that there is a foal's skin full of gould buried in the Hill but the location of wich is yet unknown. Lights have been seen there from time to time moving in circles and which has caused many a youngster a fright.
This hidden treasure has been looked for by Jack King of Currow, Barnfield, an old Sports man, but so far he has not been succeful. According to the story the gold was stolen from Limerick and hidden in Currow Hill by the Danes. there are two forths near the place, one is called CUailín Dríne which is supposed to have been the most important as there is an under ground passage leading from it to the other distance of one mile away. Some people think the gold is hidden int his passage. The steps leading to the passage can be seen from overhead.
